Fun Stuff Update!

We went over to Googa's house to visit and I got some cute pics of Talia and Gianni!!

Here are the girls with Grandma Sue!

Kendall was happy going back to her old tricks on the treadmill.

Here's a shot of Kendall when she first started swinging on the treadmill (Nov 08).

They love taking baths together!  :)

I love my Daddy :)

Daddy's gone for a few days so we had a pizza picnic last night and watched the Little Mermaid.  Fun girls night activities!!  :)

Brett likes how she scrunches up her nose when she smiles.  :)

Swaddling her monkey:

She cleans up nicely!  :)

We have drywall!

It's hard to believe that in less than 2 months the house has gone from this (March 1):

To a house that is fully drywalled!  Here is the color we picked, hopefully you can see it.  The picture makes it look more blue, but it's a light greyish-green.  It changes depending on the sunshine, so hopefully we don't get sick of it!  :)  The columns and dormers above the garage are a dark shade of it.

The house looks totally different on the inside now that there's drywall!  They were walking around on stilts mudding and taping it.  This is the downstairs under the loft area:

Now I have the daunting task of picking out interior paint colors!  Yikes!  :)

Give Peas a Chance...

Yeah, not so much.  I tried to puree some steamed peas for Talia tonight, she wasn't having them!  Ha!  I know you're supposed to try things at least three times, so she's going to get them again, but I just had to get a pic of this face. She was looking at me like I was crazy, and eventually got fussy and wouldn't even finish the plain cereal (which she loves).  I did manage to get a half-smile out of her before the meal ended...

This just about sums up Miss Kendall lately:

I am counting my lucky stars that Kendall is still SO in love with Talia.  She still wants to hold her all the time and still can't help but give her tons of hugs and kisses.  I'm sure one day they'll fight like cats and dogs, but I guess I'll just pull out these sweet pics when that happens...

She just can't keep her lips off her sweet baby sister...

I don't know what they were looking at but I thought this pic was cute:

I don't know what she's doing here (kind of looks like an exercise move) but I thought I'd show my beautiful braid work (HA!!) actually, she has been letting me do more and more with her hair, but it never stays in very long...

Smiley girl:

We made cupcakes again (weird!), here is Kendall's cupcake (almost handlebar) mustache:

Incidentally, this is what she normally looks like as she's eating her cereal.  Huge smiles.  Hopefully she'll start liking peas, and I'll get some green ones.  :)

Until next time...

Rest in Peace Jeff Dotzauer

Our good friend Nate's dad died in his sleep last night.  He was a great guy, was a lot of fun, and loved his family.  He will be missed.

Worker Bees

Brett, Chad and Pete have been working hard at the house today doing some framing.  Here are some pictures of their work!
They did the flyover that will be above the islands in the kitchen:

They did the framing in the spancrete storage room:

Good work, guys!  :)
Here are some other recent updates:
Stairs are centered:

Loft area is rounded out and half-wall is up all around:

There's a tub in our bedroom, but I think we won't leave it there...

The girls have a tub too!

Here's the bar in the lower level:

Cereal!

We gave Talia her first taste of rice cereal tonight.  We think she liked it, although it seemed she spit out more than she ate.  That's ok though, I think I remember Kendall doing the same thing.  :)

All ready for my cereal!  Wearing the bib Natalie made!

Yummm, that was delicious!!  :)

Here's a video of Kendall feeding her:

As picky as this kid is, she could eat raw spinach until she's green.  I act like it's a special treat.  :)

We made cupcakes yesterday for a friend's birthday and, of course, in honor of Talia's 4 months.  Kendall helped, like always, looking cute in the apron Natalie made.  :)
