Someone help me...
Kendall has decided lately that it would be a good idea to give up sleeping. She's decided this, I'm sure, because she knows how much I like it when she does sleep well. She started by waking up earlier and earlier, and now we're lucky if she's still sleeping at 730am. Even on the weekends. Not fair. She used to sleep 830pm-830am, sometimes until 9 or 10am. What happened? Your guess is as good as mine. It wasn't when baby sister came along either, nice try.
Now, she has decided that napping is a little too inconvenient for her. The last three days this week have been spent reading in her bed, which I know is ok too, but it makes for a very cranky, sassy girl by suppertime. When she goes to bed at night, after much procrastinating to get there, it goes something like this:
"I want another book"
-We read 2 books already.
"I want some more songs"
-I've already sang 4 songs.
"I need some water"
-there is water by your bed.
"My feet are cold"
-You know where your socks are.
"There's a bug/spider/monster/alligator in my room"
-No, there's not.
Ugh. I know, this too shall pass, but man! it makes for a tired mama. Today I laid down with her during her nap (I know, bad habit to get into) - only because I was also tired and really wanted a nap! I fell asleep for about 20 minutes before Talia woke up, and Kendall was asleep by then so it worked. Anyway, if you have any tricks of the trade, I'd love to hear them! I've already got a gate in front of her door so she can't keep getting OUT of her room, but she'll stand there with the door open...
Here's the progress on the house as of noon today, they're working on putting the trusses up. They're pretty much done as of this evening, but I didn't get back out there to take more pictures.
Hopefully we can just move in soon. It'll start getting nicer out, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Well..welcome to my world!! My kids HATE sleeping,,which feels like they hate me. Because I HATE feeling tired all the time! hahahahahaha The best thing I do is routine-bath,book,bed--but Mia still stays up for an hour jumping in the bed, talking to herself,etc...I let her, but I'm firm about staying in the bedroom. (MOST the time...) I need nanny 911. hahaha As for Ruby--forget it. She still wakes every 4 hrs to eat. (She's almost 5 months!) what gives?!?
