Houses, babies, preschools, oh my!

I know it's been a week since my last post, and I'm going to try to not let it slip so much. I really want to get into a routine with my postings. We've been pretty swamped trying to figure out how to get the house moving (including possibly buying one of our buyer's houses) as we are nearing the point of NO MOVING - ie, I don't want to move with a 2wk/4wk/6wk old baby. This means from the end of Oct to about Feb we are staying put. Whether that be in this house or not. So that's been on our minds a lot lately.

We've also been fine tuning our house plans, which has been cause for headaches & arguments! I'm happy with all of it (my closet could be bigger) but all-in-all can't wait until next spring! Brett is having issues with the lower level layout & some of the living room/kitchen layout. Hopefully he finds some happiness in that soon, it's driving me nuts!

I've also been hitting the baby books pretty hard lately. Names are so HARD!! You don't want it to be too cutesy so she won't be taken seriously as an adult, or too trendy so there are multiple kids with the same name in all her classes, but something that she can live with & won't hate you for at least until she's 18 & can change it herself. Grrrrr

I've also been looking into preschool programs for Kendall. I want to get her into something that has a set curriculum that also gives her the social development as well as the educational aspect. She's doing really well identifying some letters, knows all the colors, can count to about 15 (give-or-take) so I want to get her into something where she can further develop those skills. The preschools seem to either be too old for Brett's liking or the teachers are not to my liking. The search continues...

Today Kendall & I took a bike ride to the library. We got her some Curious George books & me some baby name books. I'm determined to have all these issues settled by the time fall tv programs come back on, or I won't have time to do all this research! :)
